IF

" The great moments of your life won't necessarily be the things you do, they'll also be the things that happen to you. Now I'm not saying you can't take action to affect the outcome of your life, you have to take action, and you will. But never forget that on any day, you can step out the front door and your whole life can change forever. You see the universe has a plan kids, and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings and it starts to rain. It's a scary thought but it's also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you're supposed to be, exactly when you're supposed to be there. The right place at the right time."- How I Met Your Mother
An old professor once said that the saddest word in the dictionary consist of only two letters... "IF." It always makes you end up wanting and aspiring for something different. Never happy for what is here but always looking back on what could have been. A hindsight perspective to see all the things that mattered and could have made a difference.

I suddenly remembered the word if. What if??? I don't see much ifs and the more I look back, I somehow realize that everything has gone through the motion and everything is moving forward. Not really a perfect existence but something acceptable.

Then there's always the timing on how events unfold. The right place at the right time. I can safely say that if some events came at different times, I could have done things differently but things do happen for a reason. If some events does not sound reasonable then you are still not at the right place and right time meant for you. In time, everything will make sense.

Every time, there's an IF then there's a rationale that you'll come to see one day. I always want to believe that no matter how much we dwell on what could have been, life should still be lived moving forward. No amount of wishing to change a fragment of the past could bring you back to that moment and be able to change it but these are life's lessons that can change the trajectory our destination.

Life is product of events and our reaction to events. This leads us a step closer to where we should be at the right place at the right time. =>
